"Comfort Shoes" is a private business operating in the fashion industry. A company that has been producing shoes for more than 15 years for various international brands such as: Geox, Klarks, Lotto, Zara, Diadora, Imac.co, Bata, etc. Currently, the company is focused on producing shoes for the international well-known brands "Nero Giardini", "Orion", "Timberland. Comfort is in the big business category, with over 300 employees. The factory is located in several facilities in different locations, two of which are located in the city of Shkodra, one in the Administrative Unit of Rrethina, and another facility was recently inaugurated in the city of Puka. The factories are located in: "Marie Shllaku" street, Skenderbeg, Shkodër; Industrial Zone, near "Arben Broci" school, Shkodër; Hot i Ri, Grudë; Puke.
BACKGROUND
This company has been operating in Malesia e Madhe since 1992, initially under the name "Vëllezërit Kokaj sh.pk" as a company with main activity in import-export. It was then developed by directing production in the city of Shkodra. The company entered the Albanian market with the production of beer with the BEST logo, which continued during the years 1997-2004. The company has made some changes in the fields where it has operated, until 2004 when it was oriented to the field of shoe production as a fashion business and continues successfully as such even today. On the first day of 2014, it expanded with its own production of shoes under the FAMIKO brand, opening 2 stores in the city of Shkodra. Because the company now focuses only on the activity of fashion production of shoes, its name has been changed to "Comfort Shoes". This company has been successfully operating in the market for 24 years, with considerable stability and continuous growth.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
In terms of social responsibility, it can be said that "COMFORT SHOES" LLC has sponsored various cultural activities and provided sports uniforms for the local boxing and football teams several times. It has also contributed to religious organizations for the construction of religious buildings. It has often been involved in social initiatives to help families in need in the area of Shkodra and Malesia e Madhe. The company has continuously organized free professional courses in order to help promote employment in the city.
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Human resource management in the company is a separate department. The company has an office that deals with employment contracts, terminations, and payments, also where any employee can go and express work-related concerns. However, this department's main focus is in developing motivational policies in the company. The employment contracts signed by the employer and the employee are open-ended. Workers are free to resign from their jobs whenever they find it appropriate. Usually requests for resignation are made 15 days beforehand. Generally, dismissals occur only for strong reasons such as violation of rules and non-respect of ethics in the workplace. The company appreciates and rewards workers who work overtime. The company gives every year bonus to the workers at the end of the year, as well as giving special importance to listening and understanding the various problems they may have.
